Hello All,

I had an accident back in November 2025 and have been fixing up my Saab after almost giving up on it. Found the front passenger fender and about to begin removing but wanted to remove the front bumper as I noticed some plastic mounting points were cracked including the headlight housing. I have picked up the headlight housing but wanted to know if anyone on here has taken off the front bumper off a 9-7x and would be able to provide pics or guidance on how many clips or plastic mounting points I have to prepare to replace.

I have searched forums and images trying to get an idea as I am on a time crunch as I have to travel for work and don't want to tear it apart and not put back together in time due to missing pieces.

So far I see that I will definitely need the bumper support bracket but have only been able to find driver side part # 15288409.
Also see bracket part # 15262141 and fascia bracket part # 89045616. This is what I am able to see based on a breakdown diagram but not sure what else is hidden that supports the front bumper when it comes to clips/plastic mounts.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Visit THESE Links and get your hands on their Automotive Fastener Parts Catalog. You might be surprised that they have what you need and they have distributors nationwide:

I guess you would have visited this site and parts diagram. I can see that the right side bracket is NLA. I think I remember mine being broken and I just either reused it as-is or JB Welded it:

Have you checked the online manuals for instructions?

Thanks Mooseman. Yes, all sources are NLA. I have been using car-part.com to call salvage yards and see who will help me with bracket. There are no 9-7x in any of the salvage yards around me.

I remember with my old saab before my aero I had to search all over the country before locating a new ignition switch in Michigan

You could try also asking a machinist to custom make one

Maybe someone with a 3D printer can make one if there is a plan for it out there.

Happy to report that I was able to piece the broken bracket together. Glued and then I used a hot stapler from Harbor Freight to strengthen the plastic bracket. Fender and bumper went together with no issues. Now have to take it to the shop to fix the pushed in rear quarter panel. Maybe crazy for spending so much but SAABANA (car's name) has been good to me for the last 11 yrs and I love the unique look that stands out from the rest plus I would hate to buy another car and take on someone else's problem. Just did a full suspension upgrade from shock, struts to balljoints and full brake job along with new ABS bearing assemblies and alignment. Will continue to share journey until completion.
