My buddy had a similar experience including the female passenger going to the hospital and ended up being charged with a couple felonies and various other stuff. A 6 month stretch of house arrest for him made it clear to me that some things are just dumb and not worth it. I find it far easier to sit back and let others do the stupid shit.

Just because it is private land doesnt mean they cant arrest you...

Also, it seems to me like Iowa puts more effort into their corn fields than they do their education lol But then again this could have happened anywhere as stupid tends to migrate lol

It works just like 'gravel road in field'. Both the drainage ditch and gravel road are government owned.

Not in this state or county. I will have to ask my uncle how Iowa works since he has 1500 acres there.

I work in government right of way real estate and have never seen field ditches being govt owned.
