Had a rusted out muffler starting to open up so went ahead and replaced the cat-back system with one from napa(walker exhaust)... Man it sounds funny... Liked the OEM unit better... Anyone have any experience with the walker exhaust?

Only thing I've heard about them is that they neck down to 2.5" inside the muffler instead of staying at the stock 2.75" so the flow might be affected a bit.

Unless the Walker Muffler came stamped with Indication Arrows showing the Exhaust Flow Direction for proper Installation... it is entirely possible to accidentally install the Muffler... Backwards.

Okay... I'm using an After Market version that, unfortunately, will work in both positions. Glad this is not the issue.

That must suck, cause I am yet to have a directional muffler from a company too stupid or lazy to let you know which way to install. What brand do you have that failed in this basic aspect?

Most mufflers it doesn't matter, but when it does, I have always seen them nicely marked. Typically muffler cases are marked with inlet/outlet, arrows, or A/B (A being inlet, B being exit).

Post #48 & Post #49 show this perfect symmetry in the DNA Professional Installers set ups... who generally don't need any such clues as to which end to use to 'put their boots on'.

Just don't conflate the notion that "it is possible to install the Muffler BACKWARDS..." with the idea that this actually happened in my situation. My information in Post #3 was just to clarify the POSSIBILITY that this can occur...and to be aware of it:

They don't impress me at all. Professional installers needed cause they too cheap to put a simple mark to help the average joe. F them. I will never use DNA crap after reading those posts. Thanks for the heads up!

All kinds of shit can happen. The muffler could have been put together wrong and had flow cut or a piece could have been loose and changed dynamics. We can guess all day about random unlikely shit to occur.
