Fingers crossed for you Tollkeeper!Got the driveshaft back from the balancer.. And all he really said was "yea, it was out"
Will install it back some time this week, maybe tonight.
Getting old ain't for the faint of heart! Now that the noise and vibration from the drive shaft is gone, I now noticed how many other rattles there are.

The problem, locally, with getting a junkyard drive shaft, is that they use fork lifts to put the vehicles in the yards. I have yet to find a XL/XUV that the driveshaft wasnt dented, or completely bent.
I managed to borrow a truck from my work on Saturday, and I will have it all week. I pulled the driveshaft out on Saturday, and dropped it off at the shop this morning. Will see what they find out.
My hunch is this will not solve the issue. I do believe its the pumpkin side bearings.
But hears to hoping it is the drive shaft.
Hello. I am having the same issue with my 2wd Trail Blazer. My vibration is intermittent and it’s killing me I can’t figure it out. I replaced brakes, calipers, brake hoses, rotors, hub bearings, new tires, rebalance, engine mounts, and had my ball joints and tie rods checked.Got it installed last night.. Vibration is gone... I could dance a jig... If I could dance..
2 new problems popped up thou.
Before I balanced the drive shaft, I replaced the wheel bearings and seals... And one of the seals is now leaking.
And

That is correct... I took my aluminum drive shaft out, replaced both U-Joints (twice), and when the vibration persisted, I took the drive shaft out again, and sent it out to a driveshaft shop to be balanced. This cleared up my problem.Hello. I am having the same issue with my 2wd Trail Blazer. My vibration is intermittent and it’s killing me I can’t figure it out. To make sure I am reading this right, you had the rear drive shaft rebalanced and changed the U-Joints and this fixed your intermittent vibration issue?
I read on another forum that GM had a service bulletin for the master clyinder and booster to be replaced, but I feel confident the cylinder and booster are not the issue. My brakes are not over heating and the vibration happens without brakes being applied. I’m running out of options and I’m hoping my issue is the same as yours.
