Yesterday I installed new Moog tie rod ends on my Rainier and wanted to get some opinions on which grease would be best to use in most automotive applications (including suspension and steering). My new tie rod Zerks are begging for a product that reduces wear and has effective viscosity and durability over the long haul.

Also, what is recommended (or considered appropriate) in terms of reapplication time intervals on our vehicles?

The past 15 years I have used nothing but Mobile 1 synthetic grease. Its red. Very good stuff.

Once a year should be plenty. Just keep an eye on the rubber boots to see if they shrink. Any more than that and the grease will come out unused and be a waste.

I too have used Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease. Good stuff!

You can normally find it on the shelves at Autozone and Advance Auto for about $9 per tube.
