Battery indicator light on dimly

I have a 03 gmc envoy and recently when I got into the vehicle I noticed the battery indicator light was on very dimly with out the key I have read several posts on this issue from charging issues to defective dash displays . I would appreciate any feed back on this issue .My Envoy seems to be running normally and with no codes

Might be a diode in the alternator gone bad.

Could be but it is has a new alternator and it seems to be charging normally with no codes

Battery light stays on but very dim
Battery light stays on, charging system checks out

Thanks for the link Mooseman I guess I won't worry about it for now
