I am new to this site ,have a 08 trailblazer I-6 completely stock, started it the other morning and had a exhaust leak near engine, after it warmed up the leak seemed to quiet down, but seems to be getting worse everyday, did some research and hope it is not the exhaust manifold, only have 50k mileage . is this a common thing or am I about to get into some big dollars ? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Exhaust manifold is pretty common on the I6. Many have posted on here about repairs. Usually manifold bolts snap.
Your's is an 08 with only 50K miles. Do you still have time left on the 5/100 powertrain warranty? Might want to check with a dealer.

GM extended the warranty on 2008 and 2009 Trailblazer exhaust manifolds to 10 years or 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first).

This is correct and if it is a cracked manifold it should be covered fully. It's even covered on my Isuzu Ascender for the same 10 year , 120000 miles...

Thanks for the replies everybody, did some research and found out that chevy is covering it fully,if anyone else needs to find out if theirs is covered call 1-800-222-1020 and have your vin number ready and ask about the
"SPECIAL COVERAGE #11150" their is a $104.00 Diagnostic fee,but since it was a cracked manifold, that was even covered,so to make a long story short ,my trailblazer is fixed in two days and did not cost me a penny!

Guys, do any of you know or can find out whether this extended warranty on exhaust manifold is valid for vehicles sold outside the US?

I had mine replaced at 58000km (not miles) under warranty. Now I'm at 85000km & it seems the same problem is repeating. The sound seems to fade out as the engine warms, can be heard slightly when the engine is started.
