NEED HELP 2004 Chevy Trailblazer oil pressure drops when driving and at idle

Do you hear any type of ticking noise? If not I would probably say a bad oil pressure switch or a stepper motor in the instrument cluster.

if your oil level is good and there is no ticking, i vote for the switch. I have had 3 x 360 platforms and have had to replace 3 switches.

I had the same problem a little while ago, lost oil pressure at idle once it was warmed up. I replaced the switch and no more problem.
