Every time I think I'm done spending on the Envoy it proves me wrong. Finally found out today that my lower control arm bushings are bad. They don't make noise all the time, just in particular situations. Really been debating picking up a V6 Terrain Denali from the salvage auctions. Sick of...
Hey guys thought I'd chime. Haven't been around the forum much lately. I pretty much got a bumper and bumper grille and went from there. The bumper will bolt up the same and I made my own isolator pad to go between the cover and reinforcement. I also made my own braces that went from the bottom...
Getting one is not the problem. Trying to rule out any issues elsewhere or if it just bad luck before I spend on another one. What would be a good one to buy? I was looking at AC Delco ones but idk if there is something comparable.
@Mooseman I bought it locally but here in Belize returns for something like that is not possible. Buying stuff here is sucky because of things like that and even if it was possible they would have found an excuse not to honor.
The way the radiator is mounted is into rubber grommets at the bottom and just has a rubber mount thingy in the middle at the top. So the radiator is allowed to move a little but not much. Could this cause any stress? If so I could always put something between the radiator and rubber mount on...
You know oddly enough in my lifetime I've never had a radiator leak at the tanks. I do travel dirt roads but not that much. I wondered the same thing about maybe rocks getting up in there, but looking at the areas damaged that would have to be one determined rock.
Ok guys I need some insight. Earlier in the year my radiator that I had in for 2 years began leaking. It was a cheap eBay type radiator so didn't find anything strange about it leaking. Replaced it with a brand new TYC radiator and about a month later that began leaking. After that I replaced...
Got her cleaned up yesterday. Sealed the rims with McKee's wheel sealant, polished the gas door and sealed them, polished the headlights and sealed them, cleaned and conditioned the leather, Rain-X all the glass and waxed it.
@Capote I really been slacking lately since I've been working more on my ATV project, but I've put that to the side for now and focusing back on the ENVOY.
Got.my engine bay cleaned up, got a turn down welded in after the muffler because I refuse to replace that entire section and finished up polishing my repos
After driving it missing that rear section I haven't noticed any negative effects besides a slight increase in exhaust sound inside. Ended up just doing a turn down before the rear axle. I'm trying not to put too much more money into this vehicle.
Got a quick question guys. My exhaust section after the muffler broke off due to crappy welding. I really don't want to go through the frustration of getting that piece remade and dealing with the horrible customer service of exhaust shops here. Is there any downside to just putting a turndown...
