Stay with the digital. 2 completely different HVAC systems and AFAIK nothing is compatible between them. Any reason you wanted the analog?

Just being picky really... I'm replacing the Bose radio and just don't like the idea of the dead radio controls being left back there. Might be an opportunity for me to mod something in there I guess

Are you sure it's broken? Could be a wiring issue underneath the armrest.
