The air bag light just turned on inside our 2002 trailblazer. Checked the code: B0078. The Haynes manual indicated the sensor is behind the front door panel mounted to the inner door frame. I have been in this door several times, and have never noticed this sensor. Can anyone describe what the sensor looks like and where it is in the door?

any suggestions on where else to look. I'm hoping this is a connection issue for now

thanks!

All IR components have yellow connectors and such, just remember to be careful what your doing with the wiring and connectors, you really don't want to set one off... That gets VERY expensive when one goes off as you have to replace controllers on top of the bag that went off....

Good luck and welcome to the nation!

thanks, I found it, it was tucked facing towards the outside on the bottom of the door. disconnected the battery ground before removing. Connectors look good, I'll swing by the u-pick-u-pull junk yard later this week for a replacement.

BTW, looks just like the picture!

thanks!

Try downloading the service manuals at the top of this forum. A lot of helpful info and diagrams there.
