Hot as a desert in Nevada

Ever been through some of the Nevada deserts, Blazing? After losing too much time, we rode (we were on motorcycles) through Death Valley and on into Las Vegas during the early and middle of the afternoon one July. I believe one of the guys said it was 112°. Most of us had full leathers or heavy jeans and full leather jacket, we all had fullface helmets. The one guy that didn't you could see the dehydration in his arms and legs when we got to the hotel.

Just had a wicked storm that knocked out power to the area. My hood was spared caused tons of tree damage. Other than that it is a very lovely summer day.

It was a brisk 55 when I woke up before dawn but then the almighty sun came out and it was a blazing hot 75. Thank goodness the humidity is down and it is amazingly comfortable. Stoked to have the windows open. Sleeping tonight should be bliss.
