If you are serious about getting that engine... make certain that it was running B4 he yanked that Motor... and ask him if he has already put in ANOTHER engine back into his SUV in its place. That should tell you a lot... perhaps enough to consider passing on this as being any kind of "Real Deal". Also... see if you can get a peek at his present Vehicle Mileage if he is willing to let you examine the interior... ostensibly to find out if his inner workings are similar enough to warrant having him include the PCM in the deal. You don't specify the arrangement... but does this "deal" he wants to inveigle you into include your having to pull that Engine out of his vehicle...first? Make sure that what you are about to do is not tantamount to..."Jumping from the Frying Pan...into the Fire..." and wind up doing his R&R instead.
