Wet Under Carpet - Sunroof Drain Tubes Misplaced?

I am replacing my carpet in my Envoy and after removing it I noticed some of the padding has been wet for a long time. Upon further investigation I removed all the side trim from the second row back I noticed that there was a drain tube on each side of the pillars next to the second row seating. The tubes were aimed directly at the padding underneath the carpet. Just looks totally wrong in my opinion. Am I correct in stating that these tubes are for the sunroof drain. And also, where are they supposed to be connected to so that it drains outside and not inside underneath the carpeting? I see no other half of a hose to connect to. All I see is some foam inside the pillars.

Driver's side passenger side? Both? Its not coolant I hope...

Hoses extend from roof somewhere down both side pillars in the second row. The hoses look to be a drain for something. If you were sitting behind the drivers seat your left hand would be next to the pillar I am talking about. Not the pillar to the left of the drivers seat which would be in front of you.
