I noticed my boot over the inner tierod on the driver side is torn. Went to gm and they said the part is $160 but were selling it for $125. Are they nuts or is this piece of rubber suppised to cost more then the tierods i picked up for under $100?

Why do you think we call them "stealerships"? Those boots should be available at regular parts stores. If not, look for a local rack and pinion rebuilder.

I can't find anyone online that sells one. And no one but gm sells them here. Anyone know a place that actually sells them at a sane price? I dont want to waste my time and money fixing my tierod without this part. I've heard the dorman brand does not last long.

Replacement one for my Camaro was only 15 bucks from Rock Auto. But I checked and there are none for the TB.

I'm finding part # 26089593 on ebay for around $80 or so, better than the stealership but still high. Maybe just get a cheapo inner tie rod + boot from ebay for $35 and steal the boot from that?

I replaced mine on a 06 TB gm part number
26089593 cost me 70.86 plus tax. Check the part number to see if you can find online
