Of those two...Sport. I generally think of Harleys as over-priced old tech that people pay for the brand since they are far from the nicest or best bikes out. Not a big sport bike person but would love a sport/cruiser hybrid touring kinda adventure bike.

Love watching Thunder n Lightning Storms. Could sit in a garage in a lawn chair just out of where you get wet and drink for hours....Damn I wish it would storm soon.

If he can keep the small atv...try the dirt bike so he can figure out what he likes better. If only one...I think atvs are more useful, but neither is safer. The safety is experience and a helmet/pads. I wish I had learned that young, woulda saved some bigger teenage wrecks when I thought I was invincible.
