That bump you feel at a stop fixed!

I know many suffer from this problem and I know that grease helps, but mine got to the point where the grease wasn't helping. Finally the dealer replaced the slip yoke and DS with a nickel plated slip yoke per a TSB. All I can say is how nice it is to come to a stop anyway I need to and not have to feel that damn bump. I don't know if this is the ultimate fix, but 3K so far so good. There was no charge for this fix. Just putting it out there.

Were you still in warranty, or did you complain about it while in warranty? Never knew a TSB would be applied to an out-of-warranty vehicle for free. Unless the provisions of the TSB call for it.

I thought I read years ago they were doing it on heavier-duty pickups for free, but not for us.

Had my bump/clunk fixed a couple months ago. I was covered under the CPO warranty, thank goodness.... No problem since then.
