TC Lockup Issue.

At about 50 MPH going up a gradual incline the TC lockup pops on and off with steady pressure on the acceleration
I get a clunk, not real loud but noticeable when it does this and a 200 rpm difference when it drops back into 4th.

I have about 160K on the clock, it is due for a fluid change.
I did some hunting on the boards and found various opinions about what is wrong and fixes for it.

My question : What can I do to diagnose this better or might there be other symptoms I need to look for.

How many miles since your last transmission service? Please don't say never.

Can you get a mechanic to ride with you who can scan/control the transmission? Best way.

Last service was at 100K at AAMCO they did a power flush

So I guess I need to get them to go for a ride with me with their scan tool on
