steering wheel position sensor

I installed a new steering wheel sensor lastnight and as soon as I got done the light came back on with a turn of the wheel. After doing some reading today it looks like I missed a critical step. When it says to remove the anti rotation pin can someone help me out on that. There was a little spring that I was worried about not bending. Would that be the pin they are referring to

Yes, that needs to be removed. That's just to keep it aligned for shipping/installation. Turning the wheel with it still installed will almost certainly damage the sensor :frown:
