Steering wheel controls

One of the lights on the lower left control button on my steering wheel has gone out. I recently had the envoy in for a couple things before the warranty ran out and had the upper left buttons replaced. Its out of warranty now so either I pay for an hour of labor plus the part charge or I intall a new one myself. Anyone have any idea how to remove the old buttons and install a new unit?

This thread - http://gmtnation.com/f33/climate-controls-mini-blue-bulbs-non-led-part-s-5127/ - tells the part numbers to the bulbs and links videos showing how to do the swap. If you are handy and can solder, you should be able to save yourself quite a bit of money.
