My 06 Trailblazer LT has a trac control / stabilitrac button on the shifter. My parents 05 Trailblazer LT does not. Did the pre 06 trailblazers not come with stabilitrac? Or did they just not have the button?

Any input will be appreciated as always.

Well it goes deeper than that. The earlier 360's had traction control only for rwd versions then they added the traction control to the 4wd's as well. The stabilitrac then was added in 2006 so the 2005's on down don't have it. Last time I bought a 360 there was a big price difference between the 2005's without and the 2006's with. Therefore then the button on the shifter controls both the traction control and the stabilitrac so you can operate with the Traction control off but with the Stabilitrac On or alternatively you can shut both systems off. Traction control and Stabilitrac are hard to defeat as I attempt to do it every day on my snowy and icy roads and the culdesac where my house is. You probably already know most of this since you have the systems. The early trucks with a g80 and especially the A4wd version were like wild rodeo horses where by when you turn a corner and the g80 detects slippage and locks up and simultaneously the front wheels start to drive, the rear wants to pass the front. Our first 360 was that exact set up.
