Service 4WD Light is on

So today, I was driving around and encountered a steep hill so I threw my TB in A4WD. Zit did well until I made a left turn and the Service 4WD Light came on. It doesn't shift out of A4WD unless I turn the car off. Any help will be more than appreciated.

Aw, man....you've been here long enough to know to not use A4WD mode.

How many miles? How current are you with the transfer case fluid changes? You turn the switch to 2HI with the power on and it ignores you, or does the mode switch lights flash? With an exact description of the behavior of the switch lsmpa AND the noises the transfer case encoder motor and the front axle actuator makes, in each mode transition, the troubleshooting is easy.

Without good behavior descriptions, it's impossible.
