Risk of driving with broken 4x4 switch?

Its pretty much confirmed I have a broken switch, was wondering the risks were for driving like this for the next couple weeks?

If you are in 2WD you should be safe.

I double-dawg guarantee you will have no worries. Unless the switch failure is one where it attempts to force you into 4LO mode, which is locked out, but if the switch is flashing 4LO on you, it may be disconcerting. Pull underhood fuse #8 when you're certain you're in 2HI mode and that will guarantee the transfer case encoder motor will not change modes no matter what. The "Service 4WD" light might come on in the dash, but you can ignore that.
