The driver's side tag light is out, and that's enough to get pulled over in NY (ask me how I know.)

The contacts in the bulb sockets are corroded. It's time for replacement.

GM Part number 1527-1206 (no longer available.)

Is there a way to replace this harness, or do I really have to make a new one with Dorman parts?

The bulbs do get hot apparently.

You can cut off the burnt holder and splice in a generic bulb holder.

Perfecto! Thank you!!!! I ordered it just now.

Great deal really. Both of my bulb sockets are toast (one more so than the other) so I had to order 2 Dorman replacements.

I'll cancel that Autozone order for $68.48,,,and then you have to build the harness yourself? What a rip off.

Toss a couple of 194 LEDs in there, if you're worried about heat issues. :twocents:

I think I'll give those 194's a try. Just ordered them from Amazon.

I already bought a set of the original style incandescents. But whatever,,,there cheap enough.
