This isn't truly PS related but it's about the re-assembly from my PS job. The outer tie rod bolt to the knuckle turns when I try to tighten the nut. Am I supposed to grab the tip and tighten with a box wrench? I can't seem to get the tie rod angled shaft into the knuckle enough to stop the spinning. Thanks.

Deleted your duplicate posts.

Try squeezing the outer tie rod onto the knuckle using pliers or vice-grips to create friction on the stud.

Thanks. I took the car off the ramps and jacked it up and removed the wheels to get better access. I found that a 10mm socket fit the top of the stud and that helped. The driver's side was better. I think I got them in all the way. Yes?

These aren't castle nuts. Anyone know the torque?

They're locking nuts. Torque? I use GoodEnTight. Officially it's 33 ft/lbs

Haha! Never heard that before. Thanks again @Mooseman. Yeah, I saw a chart that said 34 ft/lbs but thought it was kinda low and wanted to doublecheck. GoodEnTight it is.
