Can anyone please give me a rundown on how to clean out the fuel tank prior to installing the new pump?
I've never done it and haven't heard of anyone else doing it. Unless your tank is contaminated or something, I don't think it's necessary.
Here is another Video of a Dude where he creatively finds the Under-Body Support Flange where that New Dorman Nut-Clip slides over and gets covered from underneath by the Gas Tank Strap and 15mm Hold-Down Fastener... Just AFTER the Old Nut is removed by Following and Using HIS Technique for solving this PITA Problem:
