You better use a relay harness or bad things will happen.

What he means if you try to run 100w bulbs drawing about 8 amps, where the harness was designed to run 55w bulbs drawing about 4.5 amps you will fry the wires. That is why the audio guys run super huge cables because they draw a horrendous amount of AMPS. Now if the bulbs only say 100w but draw 4-5watts then your OK but your only putting out
55 watts.

That makes sense.

I am pretty sure the yellow bulbs I have are not 100w because I do 4 hour night drives almost everynight with all fours runnings and the wires and socket are fine...

So if these philips off road 100w not DOT approved are true 100w ill order a heavy duty wire harness.

A harness like this is cheap insurance against frying your wires.

That one only upgrades the wire for the last few inches. You'll still be drawing full power though your OEM harness. The relay harness just uses the oem harness to control a switch and draws power from the battery through heavier wire. IMO you need the relay harness.

If you don't want to wait for one to come from china, this one will work

Sorry to bother you. Can you post up a link on where you bought those bulbs? I can't seem to find them online.
I'd like to try out a set or two.

Thanks.

All I can say is wow, the hi beams Philips rally® are much brighter then the xtune yellows. Def 100w throws the beam over 2 blocks on a building.
