2010 Acadia 3.6, trying to resolve random p182e trips code about every 2 weeks to a month. Service engine light shuts off after a few cycles. Driving close to 1000 miles a week.
Still glad I sold my 02 trailblazer
Quick Google search tells me it's the shift position sensor inside the trans, senses what gear you have shifted it in to. Didn't read real far in to it though and the article I read didn't even mention causes. However from the Google results it looks to be very common.
Still having this random p182e maybe once every couple months.
Started up today door locks were phantom cycling for about minute straight, service traction control illuminated , backup in mirror stopped working. SEL illuminated
Cleared code everything cleared and works fine again.
In those 6T60-65 trans we replace the trans position/temp switch often. need the switch, front cover gasket, a pin/nail, and connector seal. If it isn't the infamous wave plate. Probably gonna be a PITA.
