That is why I was considering a projector so I could get a more precise beam pattern in front of me.Denali n DOO said:Last thing ya wanna do is blind the sled coming towards you at 70 mph. I prefer to ride in the daylight and drink when it gets dark out.
Problem is that it uses a sealed beam headlight now...i think it uses the same type of headlight as the older cars with 4 rectangular headlights used...if I am correct I could swap in an H4 conversion housing.Mounce said:That's what I would do. HIDs in stock housing. Simple, cheap, easy.
No way in hell would I pay $120 for a set of projectors and try to put them in a snowmobile.
Problem is the uneven trails, when going uphill you can't see where your gonna land and going down you can't see whats beyond. It's also too easy to out run your lights unless you go like 20 mph. Last year couple guys at night made a wrong turn on a lake and drove right into open water, drowned.Darkrider_LS said:That is why I was considering a projector so I could get a more precise beam pattern in front of me.

You'll have to get the part number off of the light and do some searching.Darkrider_LS said:That is why I was considering a projector so I could get a more precise beam pattern in front of me.

Take this with a grain of salt because it's your ride, not mine.SnowBlazer said:Thinking about taking the basket off and returning it....We'll see. I've just seen a drastic drop in my gas mileage.

Also, another thing, how often will you actually use that basket or will it just be for looks? If for looks, I'd get my money back and invest in a usable mod like a tune or even a lift (which you know you want ).SnowBlazer said:Yea. Appreciate the feedback. I'm really undecided if I want to leave it or take everything off of the roof and make it a slick top.
Dude I like your basket, are you sure your mileage is off enough to notice or is it your choder mind?SnowBlazer said:Thinking about taking the basket off and returning it....We'll see. I've just seen a drastic drop in my gas mileage.

I got it thinking I would use it more and it's a 407 dollar check if I return it. I like it for looks as well but I'm really torn. And yea I'm at 98.4 and I'm just over half tank.
