Hi all, I recently traded in my 190,000 mile 1998 Chevy Tahoe in. I was looking to get another Tahoe but the salesman convinced me to test drive a 2007 TB. Needless to say I ended up buying it. I am really impressed with the 4.2 I6 I am use to driving a truck with a V8 in it and the I6 has plentiful power for my V8 right foot. I am probably do very few mods (intake, exhaust, mild stereo), it has 100,000 miles and is very clean and runs great!!!!! Also the milage pick up from 15 to 20+ or so is great!!

Welcome!!

FWIW If you drive with your V8 right foot you are probably gonna get V8 milage:wootwoot:

welcome to the site..

Howdy.

You should like the power. Tahoe had 255 HP v8 and the 07 I6 has 291 HP.

I scoff at those who think a V8 is the SUV engine of choice. Glad to see some more common sense! And...just wait til you tune your PCM the way it was meant to be tuned (PCMforLEss).

I don't know what size rear-end your truck has, but the lack of a transfer case and the front wheel drive mechanics should net hwy fuel mileage on the north side of 20. More money saved for your future mods!

Welcome.

Thank you for all the welcomes. I am not sure about the rear gear also, I do not know how to decode the VIN. MPG north of 20 will be really awesome:thumbsup:
