Hence why you forgo the paint job and get another vehicle...I cant imagine leaving my wife trapped at home with the kid while at work. I usually have 1-3 vehicles at her disposal, just in case something unfortunate were to happen. I know there are neighbors and family, but the couple minutes difference between jumping in the car or finding a ride can be life or death...
I couldn't agree more Kyle. Hubby and I have discussed this a lot. Granted it's only 3 days a week, but emergencies and accident's are not biased about day, or time, or severity. With that said, him deciding what he wants to get will probably take just as long lol. We were going to get him a vehicle the beginning of this year when we got the Envoy, but he couldn't decide what he wanted, whether it was another SUV or a car, and what make/model he wanted. I understand completely about shopping around for the right price and right vehicle, but sometimes you need to cut your losses and just get a beater until you can figure out exactly what it is your wanting in a permanent vehicle.
I think I will have hubby start looking, that way when we are in the position to buy him a vehicle, it won't be a very long process. Phantom will be paid for at the beginning of next year, and then we can get him something(hopefully a TB or Envoy)
I'm actually glad you posted this, that way it doesn't appear to him that I am making a big deal out of nothing, simply because it is a big deal, especially with 4 kids.
