Yea we shall see how that goes. Parking on my street sucks as its narrow. All depends on how many people are coming in on Friday.

As for food, we usually start that discussion a month before. But with so many people showing up, we won't have to bring alot on saturday.

I can go out and get burger patties for grilling once we're all there to get a headcount. I'm just not going to be the one grilling as I've never done it before (I rent, so no grille).

Boricua has the buns covered, maybe someone else could cover condiments.

funniest ive seen is the empty mcdonalds cup with a can of beer in it and drink from straw. But beer through a straw is a sin.

I went to the dnr site for this park and it doesnt show any alcohol restrictions. TBH though, it doesnt show much of anything. Looks more like a hiking area than a park. Anyone been here before?

I'll have a designated driver with me, the wifey doesn't drink. It's also EXTREMELY rare for me to drink to a point of being drunk. I haven't been drunk in probably 4 years or so.

I'm far from an amateur... Drinking beer can get you just as drunk as drinking the hard stuff... I just don't get white boy drunk (no offense to anyone on here) when I'm over 300 miles away from home, and having to drive my SS

On a side note for our out of state guests. Just a reminder for those if they are bringing firearms. Since we still don't have CCW yet(time is almost out from the court orders which I think is June 9th to pass a law). For out of state residents the firearms must be unloaded, in a container, out of everyone's reach in the vehicle. If going into Chicago it must also be dis-assembled (better yet dont bring it).

If it was not for you guys, I would not go to IL, esp CHI. I hate having my rights violated and therefore avoid going there. I will leave my weapons in the free state of Indiana. I have several friends that wont go at all for anything, weddings, funerals, nothing.

Maybe later this summer we can have a meet at my farm and do some shooting

Well it shouldnt be to much longer. The 7th circuit court ruled a complete ban in unconstitutional but put a 180 day stay on there ruling to allow the general assembly to craft and pass a carry law. Well the state of Chicago has done nothing but to piss around the bush and ignore it and the stay ends June 9th. If they dont pass a law we will have carry. It wont be constitutional carry as the homerule towns will, i'm sure, pass restrictions. I need out of this state...

They'll just make it effectively banned, even if it's legal you'd have to jump through so many impossible hurdles...
