It sounded worse than it was....RPM's never made it over 3K.

And the running issues were due to the condition it's in...no exhaust, o2 sensors hanging, various wires unplugged, etc. You can hear how hard the lope is in parts of the vid....that was at idle! Not touching the clutch or gas at all.

And here's the damage the owner is leaving in the frame rail...

The end(s) are supposed to be straight...not bent like this.

This is hard to notice in here. These are looking inside the rails. I don't know how to MS paint or draw squigglies to point out the damage, so all I can do/say is look at around the 2 O'Clock position...this is what it's supposed to look like. (this is the undamaged driver side rail)

And here's the passenger side. The buckle is at the 10 O'Clock position...

I guess in reality nobody is going to ever see that. However, I can tell you that I went with a guy looking at a used 911. The carfax showed a wreck that was classified as "minor". This Porsche guy refused to buy the car until the dealership identified who had done the repairs. He then went to the shop that had done the work to find out the real deal. Turned out it was scratches on the nose from hitting a curb when parking.

He is going to have trouble trading that car in at any dealership with a wreck on it. His $120k car is now worth $60k. I wouldn't by a race car if I knew it had been damaged.

Exactly. I don't know why he was concerned with pulling the motor, when his carfax will show an accident anyway! He should've had us fix it the right way, so if he did go to sell it, at least he could boast that it was repaired back to factory specs!

Hell, I won't even buy a car with an accident on the carfax, and nothing I'll ever buy will compare to an exotic car like this! lol I kept searching and searching until I found a Mazda 6 Wagon that was 1 owner, all service records, clean carfax, etc., and that's only a.......Mazda 6 Wagon. :rotfl:

This is probably the most exotic car I've ever worked on, but I can't even be proud to say that due to the amount of hacking I'm forced to do. I get an uneasy feeling knowing this car isn't repaired correctly. I take too much pride in my work.....

Boy JosueLT you are 100% correct about this asswhole 911 owner. I know if I had a car like that I would want it repiared like it just came off the assembly line, and if I lived out your way I would want you to work on it since I know you would fuss like a mad man over it.

I will also say that asswhole don't know how great he has it with you working on his car.

:shhh: So what do shops do with panels and whatnot that could "easily" be repaired, but customer/insurance adjuster insists on replacing them? It'd be sweet if you could stockpile them for a certain website community... :lipsrsealed:

Haha....that doesn't happen very often, and for them to be 360 parts, even more rare.

Around here, roughly $140, but prices vary in different parts of the country.

cool. thanks for the "rough estimate". Can't find squat in my local junkyards GMT360-wise. A National parts locator service found me a "used" black fender, but they wanted $575. I said...sorry to waste your time.

Hey Josue nice job u did on that 9-7 . Do you know the part # for that insert in the cargo area. It's the black and chromed insert that's there to slide cargo on when putting in truck

Which part? The two metal pieces in the cargo area that are plastic on the other 360's?

Yep I think that's it. It only comes on the 9-7x not sure the actual name of it. The thing that when loading cargo into the back you can slide it on
