iPad dash holder

The L bracket they show will slide in between the fascia for the stereo/hvac and the dash. It should also be bolted to the structure back there somewhere. I've seen similar mounts for the 360's, I imagine this would work.

What are you planning to use the iPad for?

Thinking about hooking it up with a bluetooth OBDII transmitter. Also to display maps and such when offroad.

Do you have 4g on it? I do not think the maps will show trails does it? That thing is too expensive to me, i would rather spend more and get a nice nav for the car that will look way better you know

It's not my cup of tea either as it seems a tad too bulky & clunky, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I use my iphone for this purpose with a mount/holder by Pro Clip Pro Clip - a little pricey but you get what you pay for. They make ipad mounts too.

If you get a nav app which downloads it's own maps to take offline it does not rely on cell signal for this. You do need a cell enabled ipad to pick up location data though, even if you are not using data to find your location. I use the "Navigon" app for this and love it, but not sure how much it has for offroad trails. There are some running and hiking apps that have more trail data.

edit: I should take a picture of that with my new phone! Yikes!

Not a bad idea. You can just buy the maps and load them for use.

Well I already have an iPad, so I figured I could put it to good use in the truck. It's WiFi only, but I can tether it to my phone if I need service for anything.
