Inflator light

A couple of days ago the compress stopped working on my Envoy. I have checked every fuse that the compressor uses. The light on the inflator button is blinking. The manual say that this is because of overheating. I find it hard to believe being that it is near 0 deg. out. I remember reading somewhere that the blinking is an error code. Does anyone know what this code is? I am getting one blink pause then two fast blinks…repeat.

Maybe it's just dead. Did you try pulling the fuse to reset it?

If you have a bluetooth OBD adapter, you can use Car Gauge Pro on an Android device to read any body codes. If there are any, it should pull them up.

Overheating is a constant quick flashing. 1-flash is a compressor problem, 2-flashes is a left sensor problem, 3- flashes is a right sensor problem.
Probably your compressor unit is toast, they are pretty much unrepairable other than a check valve and that's not your problem.
The unit also contains the brains of the system...Mike.
ps I bought mine from Arnott.

The 113" wb compressor unit is behind the pass rear wheel. You can't pull up any codes as the system is a stand alone...it's all in the compressor unit and I don't believe it interfaces with any other systems.
NOTE: it does get input from the VSS.

Today I replaced the compressor with a brand new Arnott compressor. Installation wasn't too hard. The tube with the white compression ring was a pain. Problem, the compressor still won't turn on. Anyone have any ideas? My rear end is now all the way down.

I checked my manual and there is no start-up procedure after compressor replacement, should be plug n play. Other than the 30A fuse I can't think of anything other than the obvious gremlins. I would give the electrical connection at the compressor a good look that thing is in the worst possible environment, check for power there also.
I'm assuming that you got the correct unit for your wheel base...Mike.

I have the correct compressor. I'm guessing the is a cut wire somewhere. Unfortunately the wire diagram doesn't show where the wires are ran.

The black wire from the 8 pin connector relies on a chassis ground, make sure that you have that before any other probing.
