I think I like this 07 Envoy Denali 4wheel drive I believe it can be shifted to 2 wheel drive like the trucks?image
I just don't know much about 4wheel drive.

like will the vehical have to be stopped in neutral then select a gear?
how to thoughly test the 4 wheel gear select? can't go just bye the lights on the switch correct?maybe elevate the front wheels an see if both power forward and revervse? like 4wd works in both directions correct?

if the 4 wheel gear select is inoperatable is the incoder motor tucked up ontop of transfer case so tight it's impossiable to swap?
if transfer case jams up doe's that effect the rear wheel drive? or just sieze the front wheels? like in an emegency situation can the front driveshaft be removed?
is the actuater also referred as the encoder motor?
is this Envoys transfercase encoder motor though the wheel well? an doe's the Hummer H2 have this module
is this the transfercase encoder motor though the wheel well.jpg
the H2 has a none shifting 4wd it just blinks at the switch. image

here's another Denalie apparently they where also made in 2 wheel drive which mite be better for me to avoid 4wd issues plus I don't off road. now I may have to drive though some sandy yards.image

this vehical only has 149K. and said to purr like a kitten so its a women seller (I think from Ukraine).
I'm waiting on the vin# so I can completely decode the options but in reality doesn't the Denali have all options available same as the Saab97x I had? like rear air bags?
removing exhaust mainfolds an pulling heads will be alot of work but I think it would be worth the effort.
DOD delete and I think automatic fuel injectors tips on 07 Envoy please advice for mild cam upgrade for low RPM torque an can the AC condenser be left installed to cam swap?
I'd actuely prefer to purchase the whole DOD delete kit which includes everything required
all comp cam componets, cam, regular lifters (replace all 16 I think LS7) push rods, valve springs, valve steam seals, head gaskets, head bolts, oil pump, timing chain set, cam cover, valley cover w/ plugs ect.
I'd also like some long tube headers, and extra stronge header bolts, and a 93 octane tune w/ adjusted shift points for truck use ect.
edit: can I expect
constant 2 day battery drain from parasitic drain? w/ my Saab it was the rear backup camera I installed, turning off the audiovox display didn't turn off the camera. but I've read the 360 does have eletrical issues.
rusted engine hood from lack of sealant?
saggy rear air bags?
headlights lens to be cloudy not clear plastic? are head lights LEDs w/ blaslist wires
had problems w/ the Saab.
only keyed door is the driver so a battery must be connected in order to open the rear hatch?
I believe these vehical rust on the lower doors?
edit2: the DOD delete module plugged into OBD2 port is this a scam?
this mite a lousy seller if I don't get images of underneth an vin# I'm out not gonna drive 4 hours to look at a 20year old 2nd hand vehical an find a northern rust bucket.

LIKE.......WHAT??????

I believe it can be shifted to 2 wheel drive like the trucks?
Yes. All Envoys have a selectable 4x4 transfer case using a switch.

Edit: All 4x4 Envoys that is.

like will the vehical have to be stopped in neutral then select a gear?
No. It can be switched to 4hi anytime. Just to go into 4lo you need to be moving at a very slow speed.

how to thoughly test the 4 wheel gear select? can't go just bye the lights on the switch correct?maybe elevate the front wheels an see if both power forward and revervse? like 4wd works in both directions correct?
You would have to jack all 4 wheels or you risk having the truck fall off the jacks that way. You could put it in 4hi, jack the front right wheel and see if it's locked and can't be turned by hand.

You also check the lights on the switch to be sure they go solid when selecting a mode.

if the 4 wheel gear select is inoperatable is the incoder motor tucked up ontop of transfer case so tight it's impossiable to swap?
No, it's an easy swap.

if transfer case jams up doe's that effect the rear wheel drive? or just sieze the front wheels? like in an emegency situation can the front driveshaft be removed?
Rear wheels are always engaged unless the transfer case is put into neutral, which is not something that's normally done. Front wheels could stay stuck engaged but this wouldn't strand you however would be hard on the transfer case. Instead, I'd remove the right front axle disconnect actuator (circled in your picture) to disengage the front axles and pull the transfer case fuse.

an doe's the Hummer H2 have this module
No idea. If it's a selectable 4x4, it probably has something similar.

the H2 has a none shifting 4wd it just blinks at the switch. image
It likely has a problem, like a failed encoder motor. Would need to be scanned to see where it's failing.

here's another Denalie apparently they where also made in 2 wheel drive which mite be better for me to avoid 4wd issues plus I don't off road. now I may have to drive though some sandy yards.image
If this is a better option for you, sure.

I'm waiting on the vin# so I can completely decode the options but in reality doesn't the Denali have all options available same as the Saab97x I had? like rear air bags?
AFAIK, yes

removing exhaust mainfolds an pulling heads will be alot of work but I think it would be worth the effort.
To remove DOD, YES!

DOD delete and I think automatic fuel injectors tips on 07 Envoy please advice for mild cam upgrade for low RPM torque an can the AC condenser be left installed to cam swap?
No idea what "automatic injector tips" are. I don't really know cams.

edit2: the DOD delete module plugged into OBD2 port is this a scam?
No, they do disable DOD which prevents deactivation failures. Very useful if living in places like California for smog testing, just remove before test. Not to be used with a delete kit. Then you have to get it tuned.

You need to make you posts shorter and more concise. This was a lot to unpack. Images and YT video didn't work.

sorry to be so long, I need a tow vehical. I don't wanta chance the H2 as a TV. it runs an kindof good however it has no brake lights.
I believe it's the white plastic switchtaillights brake switch.jpg
taillights brake switch an pic tool.jpg
at the brake lever it's so tight under there I think
the whole dash needs removing to replace that switch.
I'll post a thread on it.
I think I ruined the torque converter on the new RV van another thread.
the spare 1500 savana van has been sitting in backyard for over 4 years I do crank her up every 3 or 4 months an let her run, but she'll need 4 tires.

one more ? on the 4wheel drive Envoy. can I put transfer case into neutral an flat tow on Envoys 4 tires on ground towing w/ blue OX bar?

I assume a 2wheel drive Envoy can't be flat towed?
thanks Mooseman.
