Hood suggestions

So my TB is pewter and on the hood it looks like the previous owner cheated on his woman and her retaliation was to carve tribal symbols into the hood with whatever sharp instrument she could find.
Besides the obvious of wet sanding and buffing, or even repainting, is there anything you crafty people can think of for possibly covering these atrocities?
I had Dark Pewter carbon fiber wrap in mind but that seemed a lil too much fast n furious for me.

Maybe some duct tape racing stripes to hide it...

Here could be a good thing for you to try. Can be permanent or at least let you hide it and see what you think of using two-tone or stripes or something and then peel it off if ya dont like it and try something else.

OK the reason I asked for pictures is because I am a loyal Trucks TV show fan and they show all sorts of paint tricks. One of them is doing a mask and blend technique which works great. Done it a few times myself.
