HID out and then back?

This is my first time with HID's, and I had a funny thing today. I had one of my headlights go out as I was leaving the house, and stayed out until I returned (didn't shut down, dropped off kids at practice). I shut off the lights manually and restarted, and it popped back on. I shut them off and back on a couple of times, no problems.

In my HID reading, I haven't come across this, any insight?

very common with HID's... happens eeeeeevery now and then to mine... especially since my truck is parked for the winter... I'll fire it up one day to let it warm up, but both HID's wont fire... so i manually turn off the lights and then cut them back on... and boom, i have lights... i've had my HID's for over 2 years now...

I'd suggest that if it becomes more frequent, then you'll have to start looking into troubleshooting... usually its a bulb or ballast...
