Headunit upgrade, What brand will fulfill my needs!?

I know this is an old thread but... I need to know if the harness in the link would work in my silverado

You could save some money and cut and splice the wires. You'll loose your chimes and the thing were your stereo stays on 'til you open the door. The newest Diagram I could find is for a 2010, but I think it should work.

BTW I haven't heard anything good about the Scosche adapters, in fact IIRC they can mess up your truck.
