So my sister and her husband live in Atlanta GA and we have been looking for a vacation spot about halfway from Cincinnati to Atlanta to meet. So we basically decided that Gatlinburg, TN was just about right. Anyways I have not been down there for years and years and was wondering if you guys have any ideas about some fun, family friendly things to do. Wife and I are both 29 (not at that 30 mark yet!) and we have a 2 1/2 year old son. My sister and her husband are just about our age also. What I am trying to see is things that would be a good time for all of us but also can take our little boy with us also.

We always do the Aquarium and the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. Those two probably take up a day. And the fajitas at No Way Jose's are awesome with some mango salsa and a margarita

Dixie Stampede was family friendly and I would go back to it.

Ripleys Believe it or Not was different to see. Family friendly.

The Comedy Barn was funny.

we hiked to a couple of waterfalls, i can't remember which ones... pack some sandwiches for when you get there to relax, I'd highly recommend it.
Waterfalls - Great Smoky Mountains National Park

everyone loves the pancake pantry, idk it was ok i'm not huge into pancakes... in general i'm not a fan of gatlinburg itself as its just a tourist trap, hiking in the mountains is what its all about IMO

a group of us had rented a cabin in pigeon forge, cooked out there

Good call on the waterfalls. We did one last time I was down there (rainbow falls maybe?) and it was awesome. Thanks for the link. Also I had forgotten about the titanic museum down there- that's probably cool to see.

Fanny Farkles and the Space needle game room are fun (smoked sausage sub at Fanny Farkles are great). Also the moonshine place across from Bubba Gumps seafood is pretty good. FREE SAMPLES:thumbsup:. Park at the top of ski mountain is pretty good.
1 hr south just outside of Cherokee NC is Santa's land. Has some small kiddie rides and a great petting zoo with lots of animals. The little one would have a ball. My wife and I have no children (she seems to be having enough trouble with me) and we enjoy it alot.
