I was watching in real time as the Eagle landed in the Sea of Tranquility, and Challenger exploded 73 seconds after lift-off. And again tonight my heart was racing as Curiosity descended, with full telemetry the entire time, and landed safely on Mars.

IMHO, this overshadows the Olympics.

'Tis a fine time to be a geek.

Simply an amazing feat. Hopefully much is gained by this venture.
