Factory AM/FM, single disc (non Bose) w/ onstar
almost plug and play, 3 wires to hook up,(tap into) POWER(red), GROUND(black) and YELLOW(ignition)
I-POD hook up is long enough to go into center console
paid $250+ including install (b-4 i knew better)

can you operate the ipod through the steering wheel controls? or is it just the improved, direct plug sound quality... either way pretty interested.

no, sorry, it does not work thru the steering wheel controls.
although the volume button should work.
