Drivers windshield washer fail

My drivers windshield washer only squirts enough to get about the bottom 1/2 inch of the windshield wet. I tried a needle in the end. I unhooked the lines and ran some air through them, but it still just sucks while the passenger is perfectly functioning. Is it time to change the nozzle? Anyone seen a good write-up on changing them? Anyone got another idea to try first?

thats not the pump that pump will make both of them go low. I had that happen to me a couple years ago and one side went out and then later on the other side went with it, just had to change the nozzles and they were better then ever. One way to check if the pump is good or maybe just that one hose is bad is unhook the hose and spray fluid out without the nozzles there and see. If the water is coming out strong on both sides then the nozzle is plugged.

Just watch out when you clean out the nozzle. Don't use anything that will enlarge the hole. I had to buy a new arm when I mistakenly enlarged the hole. The flow looked like a garden hose when you turned the washer on. :duh: :hissyfit:

With them being in the cowl, I think they are just a squeeze type tab holding them in.

While you're at it, do what I did and go to a junk yard and grab a few nozzles off wiper arms. Get some tee pieces and hose from the local auto parts store and run an extra set of nozzles on your wiper arms, so you can actually clean the lower half of your windscreen. Should cost less than $10 all up.
