Not quite. The SS has a full-time AWD whereas the others, like the Rainier, Bravada and 9-7x are part-time, which is like Auto on the 4x4 trucks.Nope. It was AWD (like the Bravada/Rainer)

It was done by one person that I know of and I think they used gear out of a Tahoe. Not sure what else was done but it was lifted, on at least 35's and offroaded a lot.Nope. It was AWD (like the Bravada/Rainer) or 2WD. It's probably possible to modify it with a hi/lo transfer case, but whether the effort/messing with the PCM/ECM is another story.
Oh wow! I didn't know someone managed to pull it off. I'd be interested in seeing how it was done, or what the setup looked like.It was done by one person that I know of and I think they used gear out of a Tahoe. Not sure what else was done but it was lifted, on at least 35's and offroaded a lot.
That's the one. If you remember Erik raced it against Dennis's Cobolt SS and it was close but the truck won.I guess they would have to use something from a full size truck to handle the LS2's torque.
And I think I saw it when I went to the meet in 2018. Lifted, oversized tires and LOUD!
