Cleaning the engine compartment....

After i clean the TB i was gonna powerwash the engine compartment then shoot it down with tire foam to make it all nice and shiney. What are the things you cover up from getting wet? - PCM, Alt, Airfilter, ?

I just covered my air filter and checked to make sure all the connectors were still connected.

I use the mud under there for insulation...

I cover nothing but avoid heavily spraying the electrical components on the drivers side. I don't spray any of the plastic pieces that have decals on them either. As for the tire foam stuff, only one time a few cars ago did a product meant to shine stuff actually damage the plastic. It was a can of engine cleaner and dressing all in one that everyone was toubting on another Pontiac enthusiast site years back. I generally use Mothers Back to Black on the plastic since I have enough history with that.
