I remember, long ago, back in the day, the OS had a chat system. I can't remember if that was a public thing or a Plat Upgrade.

Just wanted to see if that was going be incorporated.

We haven't really discussed that yet. Chat has pros and cons. I do have a nice chat system on another site that I run, but it too costs money for licensing and needs a lot of server resources to run.

The biggest downside to chat is that people often get live help from other members, and those sessions are not recorded for other people to see in the event they need the same help.

Agreed. Same reason I (almost always) point noobs to the forum when they ask for private consulting in a Visitor Message or in a PM. Not indexed. A few rare times, I have something worthwhile to be Googled later.
