Catalytic Converter Compatibility

I was curious if anyone could confirm if the GM 15808213 Converter Assembly,Converter Assembly, would fit on the SAAB 9-7X Aero as I had someone tell me it should but couldn't confirm and mentioned the positions for the converter in later years changed on the trailblazer

Converter according to the website is for the 2005-2006 5.3l trailblazer/ envoy

My SAAB 9-7X Aero's converter is starting to go and my state does that stupid CARB bs but OEM doesn't have to be carb compliant and my cheapest option at this point

I am going by the engines listed inside the listing which shows both "models" of vehicles, non-saab and saab. As with most "parts desks", their data is provided by others even places like rockauto don't really confirm fitment at 100% but back up "errors" with return policies... which might not be a good outcome if things are too far gone in terms of install / shipping / removal effort. Maybe you could email the linked site to see if they have any more incite.

ADDED: I see now what you are saying about the part that you quoted. AI says your part is from a 1.3l 3 cylinder engine.... what! where did you get that number from? So then, I guess you are asking more of "modify" question using two of those for your v8?

ah... now your post makes more sense as you are wondering about the years "differences"... which you kind of implied later... but I couldn't make out how that correlated with the original number posted.

The number that I posted was for the 2008 chev trailblazer which has been replaced by the original link that I posted. I guess the question is why are you trying to use the earlier model year system?\

ADDED: I see it is something that you can get.... but based on the search, it appears that the earlier model is not "transposible" to the later models ... specifically the earlier model appears to be for only 5.3l while that later version is across all v8 engines which were redesigned in some form.

Can't find an OEM one for newer years and OEM doesn't have to be CARB compliant making it my cheapest option

Before I buy the converter can anyone verify if GM Parts Giant is legit
