Well I hate to be saying this, but in lieu of the rising gas prices, and my increasing daily commute I find myself going through an 18 gallon tank in about 4 to 5 days. That's really starting to crunch down on my wallet, and at a time where saving money is crucial due to college coming next year.
When it comes to cars I am lost at any good brand names or models. I am very knowledgeable about trucks any anything heavy hauling related, but when it comes to cars i am very illiterate.
Basically I am looking for something that gets about 25-30 mpg mixed city and freeway. It must be roomy enough for a 6,4 male, and cost somewhere around 10k used (value the dealer gave me trade in on the tb). Other than that everything is livable with. I would prefer a manual, and maybe something with a turbo but that's more for the sake of having fun. Also rear wheel drive, and a 2005~+ model would be preferable.
I have found the VW Golf turbo to be a fun and peppy car to drive around, but it is a little small for me and with all the long road trips I do fatigue will become a big problem. Mustangs are not for me. Just to many of them on the roads, and the models that do appeal to me are out of my price range.
Thanks for any suggestions
