Another Thermostat change

2 years ago I changed my thermostat and coolant temperature sensor due to it running cool. Today I changed the thermostat again due to it running about 175 degrees. This time I bought a thermostat from the local GM dealer since many people recommend them over the after market ones. I agree now since my first one was purchased from a local national chain and made in china. The GM one is made in Mexico so they aren't from the same factory. My TB runs right up at 210 on the gauge now and with the other one it ran one line below 210 until this winter when it started running cooler. Bought the first one from the chain since my son's in laws own it, but now I see sometimes it pays to go to the dealership.
Change only took 1 hour and 45 minutes pulling the alternator since I had done it once before. Would have been less time but I dropped a bolt for the bracket above the alternator and had to pull it off to again to retrieve it. Not a bad job on a nice 45 degree spring day.

I could be VERY wrong, but your first stat may have been a 180 degree stat instead of the OEM 195... This would keep your coolant down near the 175.

ACDelco 15-11006 is the correct P/N, I believe. (I hope so, it's the one I bought last year that's been sitting in my garage waiting to be installed.)
