Not 100% sure but I am sure they do, but I wouldnt get them. Just save that money and put them into another set. Yeah it would have saved you on shipping to get them all together, DDM is charging $16 for a kit but If I add another kit to it or extra bulbs its like another $1-$2 lol

Lows and fogs are complete and I'm in love! Super bright and love the color, pure white with no blue that I can see. All VVME 5000k.

Is this the kit you got? Did you get a relay harness? How did the cap mod go?

The cap mod uses a capacitor to give the DRLs 100% power so you don't kill the HID ballasts.

Ahh. That's what a practically free drl killer mod is for. But ok. Thanks.

Yeah looks like the same kit. Cap mod worked fine. Used a ring terminal and a little heat shrink to clean it up. Just got to throw in the diode for quads. Picking up a set of silverstars for the highs. If your going with the 35 watt kits, that's what I used, you don't need the relay harness. The ballast plugs into the factory outlet and the xenon blub plugs into the ballast. I used some velcrow tape and stuck the ballast down to the fist flat spot I could see

DRL's are mandatory up here.

:thankyou:

I'm still using Ultra Silverstars for both lows/highs. Still undecided about getting HID for the fogs. Is your quads going to be for a low/high or a fog/low setup? How much of a delay [warmup] is there when switching from highs to lows with only HID lows?

The delay is at least 5 sec from the time you click the highs on, to when they are fully warmed up and at their brightest. Its the nature of the beast-the bulbs have the gas in the middle with 2 electrodes throwing a spark into the gas. It takes that much time for all the gas molecules to get "excited" and producing the full amount of light. And you can forget the flash to pass ability; its not going to happen. I never use my high beams anymore since the low 8000K HIDs produce so much more light. My supplier is in CA and ships my sets to me in 5 days as well as replacement ballasts if needed. Customer service is everything!

Thanks Newfie. How'd you fair with the fogs? Same problem finding spots for the ballasts? Are you still going HID for the highs? Would there be enough room for more ballasts?

Thanks DFWWIZ. :frown: Rarely use the flash to pass to pass, more to oncoming drivers with highs still on. I wonder how many GMT's have HID highs installed.

Would this work as a PNP version of the cap mod? Just curious.

I'm now leaning towards the Cap & Quad mods, and HID for lows/fogs.

YEAH!!! :wootwoot: A box just showed up from VVME with my new HID lows and fogs. The boxes have the absolute piss pounded out of them but the kits look to be intact and undamaged. Now I just need to find the time to install them.

Mine arrived today. Seems like the boxes took the same beating as well. :frown:

Installed the lows, without any other mod or relay. Got the one headlight look upon startup. When both lights are working -!! Shall try the relay for the lows, with the fogs installed later this week.

Never mind rest of the week. I had to get the fogs installed.

Boxes beat up a bit.

I had ordered my kit from Jetttstream (a year ago) and finally put them it. It didn't come out to well.

First I attemped to do the Quad Mod from underneath my steering. I got to the part of unscrewing the 7mm brass hex screw. But I didn't get that wiring harness off. Am I to put force onto it? Use a flathead and wedge it out. I just wanted some suggestions from some fellow HID users here first who attempted this.

Also for any XL owners who has their fuse box under the rear driver side, did you have to remove the seat to access the pink wire with the white stripe?

Since I accomplished none of the mods and still went ahead with the HID install, unlocking and locking was just flickering hell along with buzzing (pulsating signal).

I zipped tied the harness down and removed the actual HID bulbs and put back the stocks. I did order the DRL module from V-Led which should hopefully help.

In the meanwhile, I would like to hear some suggestions about the two mods. Thanks.
