Why did you get such a higher temp for the highs?

silvernclean said:No...I didn't think about them at the time. I should've damn it. Do they sell sylvania hid look alikes for fogs? (Just to get me by for awhile)

NewfieEnvoy said:Lows and fogs are complete and I'm in love! Super bright and love the color, pure white with no blue that I can see. All VVME 5000k.
NewfieEnvoy said:Which ones did you order? DDM, VVME?

silvernclean said:Ahh. That's what a practically free drl killer mod is for. But ok. Thanks.
NewfieEnvoy said:Yeah looks like the same kit. Cap mod worked fine. Used a ring terminal and a little heat shrink to clean it up. Just got to throw in the diode for quads. Picking up a set of silverstars for the highs. If your going with the 35 watt kits, that's what I used, you don't need the relay harness. The ballast plugs into the factory outlet and the xenon blub plugs into the ballast. I used some velcrow tape and stuck the ballast down to the fist flat spot I could see

I'm still using Ultra Silverstars for both lows/highs. Still undecided about getting HID for the fogs. Is your quads going to be for a low/high or a fog/low setup? How much of a delay [warmup] is there when switching from highs to lows with only HID lows?

DFWWIZ said:The delay is at least 5 sec from the time you click the highs on, to when they are fully warmed up and at their brightest. And you can forget the flash to pass ability; its not going to happen. I never use my high beams anymore since the low 8000K HIDs produce so much more light.
NewfieEnvoy said:YEAH!!! :wootwoot: A box just showed up from VVME with my new HID lows and fogs. The boxes have the absolute piss pounded out of them but the kits look to be intact and undamaged. Now I just need to find the time to install them.
NewfieEnvoy said:Good to hear! You'll like them.
